FOSTERING INTERNATIONAL EDUCATION AT VANCOUVER COMMUNITY COLLEGE

In addition to the above programs, VCC International offers unique support services to international students during their studies in Vancouver. Support services include the following: homestay, recreational activities, medical insurance and study permit extensions as well as work permit applications.
VCC International is also committed to the internationalization of VCC as a whole. While we are responsible for marketing and recruitment of the international students to the many VCC programs listed above, there is much more that we do to promote the internationalization of VCC including; professional and career development for VCC faculty, and students; study or work experience abroad for VCC’s domestic students; institutional linkages and partnerships that foster an exchange of knowledge, research and learning and; international project work.

Student Volunteers Needed for Russia House at Science World during Olympics-NOW CLOSED
During the Vancouver Games, Science World will be transformed into ‘Russki Dom’ (Russia House). The venue will house displays on Russian business, culture, life, etc, as well host performances by Russian singers, cultural groups, in addition to acting as the official promotion site of the 2014 Games. Russia House is open from February 11th to the 28th.
The Sochi 2014 Organizing Committee (Sochi, Russia, will be hosting the 2014 Winter Olympics) has asked for assistance in identifying BC students to work as volunteers at Russia House. This will be an amazing opportunity and also a lot of fun, and they do not need to speak Russian.
