Donna Hooker

Donna Hooker, MBA, Director, VCC International, has been engaged in post-secondary education for 28+ years in support, faculty and administrative roles. Her international experience began in 1986 as an international student advisor and quickly advanced through a series of roles including student services, marketing and recruitment, project development and management. Donna’s most rewarding experience is observing the transformation of faculty, staff and students who have an international experience. As Director, Donna oversees the international efforts of VCCI and focuses efforts on business development.

Sik On Hon

Sik On Hon, Project & Recruitment Manager, VCC International, joined VCC in 1998. He recruits individual students and study groups for regular and customized educational programs. He also supervises the development, marketing, implementation and reporting related to government and private international training projects. He holds a Bachelor of Arts (Honors) degree in Economics and Commerce from SFU. Prior to arriving at VCC, he worked for the Hong Kong government as an Executive Officer, and for other Canadian business firms and government agents in the areas of accounting, real estate sales, driver training and language translation.

Nadina Dodd

Nadina Dodd, Manager of Marketing & Recruitment, VCC International, was born in New Zealand but has lived in Canada for many years. Since graduating from UBC with a degree in International Relations she has studied,worked and volunteered in Mexico, Italy and India as well as travelled to over 25 countries. She speaks Italian and Spanish (and is working on her Portuguese) and knows exactly what it is like to be a foreign student! Her career in international education began in 1994 when she worked for an international group of private language schools.  In 2006, Nadina joined VCC International and is responsible for advertising & communications, online promotional strategies, the creation of resources & print materials, developing & maintaining VCC International’s marketing network worldwide, attending education fairs and giving presentations at educational institutions both locally and internationally.

Hilary Wong

Hilary Wong, Department Assistant, VCC International, was born in Hong Kong and worked in an educational institution in Hong Kong for over a decade before starting her first job in Canada at VCC. She has worked in different areas within the college and is very happy to be a part of the VCC International Team providing secretarial and administrative support to the department and working closely with staff on the Student Services Team and the Financial Services Department to ensure that all requests from students and agents have been attended to promptly.

Yoko Ito

Yoko Ito, International Admissions Advisor, VCC Internationalwas born and grew up in Japan.  She studied Inter-Cultural Studies and Counselling Psychology in Japan and Canada. After working for some educational institutions, she joined the VCC International in 2005.   As an international advisor, she assists prospective students in selecting and transferring programs to meet their career ambitions, providing in depth advice regarding their admissions.   She also helps current students with course planning to ensure that they are on the right track to achieve their academic goals.  She enjoys working with students from all over the world.

Shirley Teo

Shirley Teo, Admissions Assistant, VCC International, has been working in VCC International for many years. She provides agents, students and visitors with program information, medical insurance, Canada Immigration requirements etc. Shirley enjoys traveling and meeting people from different cultures. She has been to Malaysia, Hong Kong, Taiwan, Hawaii and many other countries. She speaks Mandarin and Cantonese.
